H2O-Stop Materials and Technology
How H2O-Stop Works
H2O-Stop is a fuel filtration system that operates during refueling, intercepting solid impurities and free water before they reach the tank or fuel supply circuit. It acts in two distinct phases: it retains solid impurities suspended in the fuel and intercepts any free water present, preventing it from reaching the tank.
Protection is preventive: it acts at the moment most exposed to contamination, which is during refueling.
Materials and Filter Structure
The filter element is made of 3-layer technical non-woven fabric (high-efficiency non-woven fabric) with a filtration capacity of up to approximately 12 microns. The multi-layer structure combines mechanical retention of solid particles and hydrophobic repellency for free water.
The materials are selected for compatibility with motorcycle gasoline.
Water Separation
H2O-Stop intercepts free water, meaning water not dissolved in the fuel: that originating from condensation, external contamination, or improper fuel storage at the pump.
Important limitation: H2O-Stop is not capable of separating water chemically mixed with the fuel. It acts exclusively on the free and separated aqueous phase.
What H2O-Stop is not
- It is not a universal filter suitable for every vehicle or use.
- It does not replace scheduled fuel system maintenance.
- It does not require routine maintenance, but periodic visual inspection is recommended.
Visual Inspection
A periodic visual inspection of the filter is recommended to verify its integrity: absence of tears, deformations, or visible contamination. In case of anomalies, proceed with replacement.
