Function and position

The PurMotors fuel pump filter is a technical spare part of the PurMotors Protection System. When validated through the official application list or OEM Cross Reference, it replaces the corresponding original filter, protecting the fuel pump and injectors from solid contaminants present in the fuel.

It is not a universal filter and should not be manually adapted. Compatibility must be verified through the official application list or validated Cross Reference.

The fuel pump filter operates in the fuel suction circuit, upstream of the fuel pump, according to the position specified by the vehicle's specific application. The reference filtration is up to 20 microns.

What it protects

The fuel pump filter reduces the exposure of the fuel pump and injectors to solid contaminants suspended in the fuel. It helps keep the fuel system cleaner over time.

Position in the PurMotors Protection System

The PurMotors system provides multiple independent and complementary levels of protection:

  • Pump Pre-Filter / Injection Protection (MPPF) — technical filtering spare part, upstream of the pump, 20 micron protection
  • Pump Protector / Pump Protection (MFPP) — protection element with different function and position; specific for motorcycle model
  • H2O-Stop — separates and retains free water and impurities during refueling, before entering the tank

The three systems operate distinctly and can be used individually or in combination.

Not to be confused with

  • Pump Protector (MFPP): protection element with distinct function and position compared to the fuel pump filter. The two products are not interchangeable.
  • H2O-Stop: works before entering the tank, during refueling. Complementary to the fuel pump filter, which operates upstream of the pump.
  • Universal filter: the PurMotors fuel pump filter is not a universal filter. It should only be installed on models present in the official application list or validated Cross Reference.
